June 2024 update
In May 2024, our board selected a shortlist of organisations who we have invited to apply for legacy grants in Focus Area 2. We have been in touch with them and expect to make about eight grants by December 2024. They will be our last grants in this area, which is now closed to applications.
It has been an extraordinary privilege to support so many outstanding organisations in this focus area over the years. So many of our current and former grantees are making a huge difference in the world.
We are sorry that our support is drawing in, as we spend out our assets and prepare to close in about 2030. This is driving us to take an even more focused approach to what we can achieve.
We remain open for applications in Focus Area 1: Financial Integrity and welcome approaches from UK organisations fitting these criteria.
October 2023 update
We are spending out and plan to close our doors in about 2030. As a result, we have changed our approach for our work to strengthen high potential UK non profits (Focus Area 2). We are now closed to new applications in this area.
Looking ahead, we intend to make final grants to a small group of organisations we have previously funded in this area. In mid 2024, we will invite applications from those that fit our initial criteria. Then we aim to make final selections by the end of 2024.
We hope that this group will form an important part of the Trust’s legacy, alongside the many other organisations we have had the privilege of supporting. We are excited at the prospect of helping them strengthen their sustainability and impact.
There is no need to get in touch with us about this process. We will post updates and get in touch with people when we have news.
Please note, we remain open for applications in Focus Area 1, on the UK’s financial integrity.
