The Latimer Network
Combining forces against illicit finance
The Latimer Network brings together the UK’s leading voices in the fight against dirty money. Convened by the Joffe Trust, we provide a collaborative platform for government officials, private sector leaders, academics, and civil society experts to tackle challenges that no single sector can solve alone.
Why we exist
Building on our successful conferences in 2025 and 2023, the Network fills a critical gap: providing a trusted space for dialogue and collaborative action on systemic issues.
By breaking down silos between sectors, we enable better understanding, smarter policies, and faster implementation. Our goal is simple: help the UK achieve more, faster, on the issues that matter most in combating illicit finance.
Current priorities
- This cross-sector discussion established consensus on the key issues. A working group has built shared understanding of cross-sector capabilities and developed a proposal to transform asset recovery at scale (one page summary here).
- Our innovation sprint is protyping models for radically improving SARs. This kick off workshop set the objectives and direction of our work. Design workshops are underway.
- Cross-sector priorities and proposals for the Summit.
- Letters to the Prime Minister, Deputy Prime Minister, and Foreign Secretary following the September 2025 Cabinet reshuffle.
Previous work
- Maximising value from the UK’s National Risk Assessment.
- Roundtable on the UK’s 2027 FATF evaluation.
- Summary and detailed briefing on achieving transparency offshore.
- Panel discussion on cash, financial crime and financial inclusion.
