The Latimer Network

Combining forces against illicit finance

The Latimer Network brings together the UK’s leading voices in the fight against dirty money. Convened by the Joffe Trust, we provide a collaborative platform for government officials, private sector leaders, academics, and civil society experts to tackle challenges that no single sector can solve alone.

Why we exist

Building on our successful conferences in 2025 and 2023, the Network fills a critical gap: providing a trusted space for dialogue and collaborative action on systemic issues.

By breaking down silos between sectors, we enable better understanding, smarter policies, and faster implementation. Our goal is simple: help the UK achieve more, faster, on the issues that matter most in combating illicit finance.

Current priorities

1. Future SARs: building a smarter financial intelligence toolkit
  • Our innovation sprint is protyping models for radically improving SARs. This kick off workshop set the objectives and direction of our work. Design workshops are underway.
2. Public-private partnerships in asset recovery
  • This cross-sector discussion established consensus on key issues and the ambition to transform asset recovery at scale. Next steps to be progressed early 2026.
3. Supporting the Foreign Secretary’s Illicit Finance Summit
